These little guys just get sweeter and sweeter and it’s always fun to spend time with them on the family farm. We hung out outside and then played inside before nap time. My favorite kind of session. REAL LIFE.

Thanks for having me again and again and again. It’s so nice to watch them grow into such loving little people.

I have to say….I have never seen a new mom and dad work together so well and so sweetly as a little team to do regular everyday tasks.  It really was cute to watch them both get involved getting this new little guy comfortable. Whether it was to be swaddled, to nurse, or to get him dressed both their hands were in there and finding their way together. Little man Rhett scored in the loving and patient parent department, that is for certain.

With that in mind I began thinking how I could make this happen. This something for everyone concept.  What I am about to offer has taken me quite of going back and fourth with numbers and what is included.  Please be well informed this is not a full session experience.  My full session offerings have taken on a life of their own. I love them. When I first started in 2007 my galleries were 25-30 different images and occasionally I would  have to scour for that last photo from a two hour session. Those days are long gone. Over time I have become far more consistent, more adaptable to the light,  to the general vibe of the session, as well as the kids temperaments. I have been producing galleries that are just over flowing from beginning to end that my clients are totally digging.

i love when an image just stops me in my tracks. usually they are the photos that happen naturally when the photo session has taken a back seat to real life.  it makes me happy that the real life happenings far out weigh the photo session happenings these days.  and while it’s always nice to have one or two “pile em up” photos for posterity i just find that there is far more more soul in the workings of real life. tears and all.

i want to take you to a special place where lasting friendships are made, guards are let down, trust is established, and provide  for you heart felt imagery that will stand the test of time, fads, and technology.  my clients are unique and love stepping out of the box.  they have their own style and don’t seem to care what others think. they are outgoing. they are shy. they are confident. they are sassy.  they are down to earth. they are sweet. they are straightforward….and they truly hold a special place simply for the uniqueness and unconditional love they manage to bring time and time again.

are you bold enough to be boring?

I am almost embarrassed to claim this as a food I love but it is seriously so true. When I am not drinking fresh squeezed juice or a green smoothie for breakfast this has become a favorite.  I am totally guilty of craving it. It definitely satisfies that savory craving with way less fat and calories than say….biscuits and gravy…and gives you a good amount of energy that sustains you through to lunch.

ingredients:

• 3 1/4c. water
• 1 cup – Bob’s Red Mill – Gluten Free Mighty Tasty Breakfast Cereal
• jennie-o turkey sausage

the following are to taste:

• 1/2 tsp – onion salt
• 1/4 tsp black pepper
• sprinkling of cayenne (optional)
• tabasco

method:

• brown the sausage on medium heat and sprinkle with a little cayenne if you like some kick.
• add the cereal to boiling water and stir in then turn burner down to low, cover and stir occasionally (about 10 minutes)
• once the cereal is done add the onion salt, pepper, and tobasco
• cut sausage into disks and stir in

When there is left overs it is really good with an over easy egg on top. I know it sounds crazy but don’t knock it until you try it.

I have to thank the boyfriend for this recipe.  He manages to get me to like things I would otherwise say um, no thanks.
