Mi amore, there are no words to portray the way I feel for you, but I will say that I am blessed beyond measure to have you as my husband. You’ve been nothing short of incredible, through the storms and the seasons we’ve come out of, and I can only hope I’ve reflected this love to you in the same way. Although circumstances may change, people may come and go, and promises of others may fail, there are two constants in our life that are unchanging: God, and our love for one another. Nothing can hinder what we have, together. When I see the moon and the stars, I wonder if you think of me when you see them, too. I pray for you, every day, and think of you every waking moment. I am filled with joy knowing that you are reflecting such faith, honor and integrity wherever you might be; you are a blessing to more lives than you know. I will stop at nothing to protect you, our marriage, our future, and the plans the Lord has put before us. The thought of being with you again, sooner than later, gives me strength to endure the moments when I feel as if everything else could be falling apart. You are missed, loved, cherished, honored, respected and greatly admired!

Hey there! Why am I a coughing, sneezing, snot bucket today? Aye aye aye. Another week down, yet so many to go. No words can describe how much you mean to me, or how much I miss everything about you. Friends and family ask about you daily, and so often I don’t have the answers to their questions. Not always knowing where you might be, where you’re going next, or exactly how long you’ll be gone tears me apart; but I continue holding on to the fact you’ll be back, and that’s all I need to know. Distance is nothing but a vehicle to bring us closer, even being thousands of miles apart. You told me to be strong; that this is just a season, time shall pass, and we have the rest of our lives together. I’m holding on to every word you’ve said, and everything we have together.

Week two is soon coming to a close, and it still feels like this season just began. I’ve been pressing through the days, but there is still an emptiness that lingers without you here. No house is a home when the one you love the most is so far away. Your emails and phone calls help pass the time, and I eagerly wait for each one, never leaving my phone out of sight. No one can compare what is endured through a deployment to the week-long business trips they’ve experienced. I miss you so much it hurts. December seems so far away, but I know that sooner than later I’ll be back in your arms, right where I belong. Everyone sends their love and prayers, believing for a safe and quick return of the man we all admire!
