Brian, Natalie and Angel Stadium. Talk about kids in a candy store. Co-workers for years across the street at The Catch. (best restaurant in Orange County in my opinion.) Reunited years later here at Angel Stadium and engaged at Angel Stadium. It just made sense….so we made it happen. They were beyond excited to be on the field in this big empty place where they are usually just two people among thousands. Such a happy fun loving spunky couple. I am looking forward to the wedding.

Stay tuned for the second half of their session. In the mean time….show them some love. Just for fun 20 comments here on the blog and 20 facebook likes (at the bottom of this post) could snag them something fancy.

This is the last installment for Jackie and Chad. I will miss seeing their images in my to do folder. Their playful laid back demeanor, genuine connection and respect for each other is a total blessing to be around. By the time we got here our time on light was just about gone.

So thankful for friends and family that grant access to their land for me to use as my playground. For me location is a key ingredient in keeping things authentic and most of all fresh and fun.

When I arrived Jacki told me that she had never been professionally photographed and Chad point blank expressed the dread he feels about having his photo taken. I hear this a lot and it makes me so happy that people can genuinely relax and be themselves around me. After a short bit of goofing off their natural chemistry ran the show and they were so much fun to work with. They are just simply adorable and so obviously in love.

There are more of these to come from this spunky sweet couple but wanted to share a little snippet of our time together.

I have known Jacki since she was about 11 years old. She’s all grown up, more beautiful than ever, and at the young age of 23 is running a successful floral design business in the OC/LA area. It’s been a few years since I have seen her and it was a total delight spending time with her and her soon to be husband and I couldn’t be happier for them.

Hi, It’s been a while. I’ve been somewhat of a bad blogger. I was surprised and delighted to get emails from fellow non related military wives asking when we would see another post….and also one from his mama. Thank you for reading. Sorry for keeping you waiting.
In an effort to play a little catch up I have more photos and two letters. Happy Friday and don’t forget to thank someone for their service…young and old. No matter how you slice it, it takes a special kind of person to fulfill these jobs.

Week 9
Tyler, mi amore….

I remember the day you left. It didn’t seem real. I refused to face reality until the moment I was walking away, alone. Tears could not wash away the pain of watching you go; something I never want to endure, ever again. As the days continue, victory draws near. We’ve passed the two-month-mark, going stronger than ever, and I believe in the depths of my heart that Hebrews 12:11 will only continue to prove itself true, “Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” You make us all proud, Tyler. The integrity I’ve so long admired in my father, I see so clearly in you, and that partnered with your faith is what will continue to move mountains. Don’t ever forget what you’re worth, and who you are. Remember, you never know who you will prevent from falling when you gather your strength and stand in faith.

week 8
Tyler….

There are some nights when I find peace in knowing this is, as I’ve said before, simply a season of separation, but there are others when I can barely see past the pain of missing you more than any words could begin to explain. The weeks continue to pass steadily, as I continue to ache for you with all that I am. There doesn’t seem to be a moment where you are not on my mind… Topic of conversation always turns to you… Nothing removes the fact that I am not complete without the other part of my very flesh here with me. Nevertheless, I find my strength in the Lord, knowing He is still doing great things through us together, even being thousands and thousands of miles apart.

Mi amore, there are no words to portray the way I feel for you, but I will say that I am blessed beyond measure to have you as my husband. You’ve been nothing short of incredible, through the storms and the seasons we’ve come out of, and I can only hope I’ve reflected this love to you in the same way. Although circumstances may change, people may come and go, and promises of others may fail, there are two constants in our life that are unchanging: God, and our love for one another. Nothing can hinder what we have, together. When I see the moon and the stars, I wonder if you think of me when you see them, too. I pray for you, every day, and think of you every waking moment. I am filled with joy knowing that you are reflecting such faith, honor and integrity wherever you might be; you are a blessing to more lives than you know. I will stop at nothing to protect you, our marriage, our future, and the plans the Lord has put before us. The thought of being with you again, sooner than later, gives me strength to endure the moments when I feel as if everything else could be falling apart. You are missed, loved, cherished, honored, respected and greatly admired!

Tyler!

Hey there! Why am I a coughing, sneezing, snot bucket today? Aye aye aye. Another week down, yet so many to go. No words can describe how much you mean to me, or how much I miss everything about you. Friends and family ask about you daily, and so often I don’t have the answers to their questions. Not always knowing where you might be, where you’re going next, or exactly how long you’ll be gone tears me apart; but I continue holding on to the fact you’ll be back, and that’s all I need to know. Distance is nothing but a vehicle to bring us closer, even being thousands of miles apart. You told me to be strong; that this is just a season, time shall pass, and we have the rest of our lives together. I’m holding on to every word you’ve said, and everything we have together.

I love you more than all the world could ever offer!

Letters to Tyler • Week 2 | Southern California Engagement Photographer

Week two. This E session has turned into a ongoing little project. Rather than post a gallery of their images, I will feed her photos once a week from their engagement session accompanied by a note from Kels to her deployed love. A little something for them to look forward to and a little something to remind us all that families all over this country are away from their loved ones working to keep our liberties in tact. Whether or not we support the war efforts it is important that we support the men and women that sacrifice their own personal freedom to maintain ours.

Week two is soon coming to a close, and it still feels like this season just began. I’ve been pressing through the days, but there is still an emptiness that lingers without you here. No house is a home when the one you love the most is so far away. Your emails and phone calls help pass the time, and I eagerly wait for each one, never leaving my phone out of sight. No one can compare what is endured through a deployment to the week-long business trips they’ve experienced. I miss you so much it hurts. December seems so far away, but I know that sooner than later I’ll be back in your arms, right where I belong. Everyone sends their love and prayers, believing for a safe and quick return of the man we all admire!
