They have had quite a few photo sessions this year with the engagement, the wedding itself and a trash the dress session so casual was the goal for their first family photo session. So we dorked around in the fields for a an hour or two with their little pup Sugar. Here is just a smidgen of what I got.

LOVES the car. He recently has been diagnosed with a partial tear of the ligament in the knee so car rides have become a staple. Paying the price of being a bad arse ball fetching enthusiast? The boy runs hard. He is now on limited exercise and a stinky expensive diet. NO running? Talk about wild maniac. It sounds like surgery may be in his future. Shryner calendars anyone?

I have pretty busy but have also had the chance to get outside and explore and actually enjoy some of spring here in the Temecula Valley. We have been all over the place. Places so local you could throw a stone at them and they appear so undiscovered. Like stepping back in time when there was open space. I will be posting more of my personal photos here and there. I am glad spring is here and I hardly even noticed winter had come and gone.

Mac is a 10 year old pekingese mix and so mellow, fuzzy and lovable. He is about to undergo a second surgery on his back leg so let’s all send out some well wishes and good thoughts for this little dude. His mama is a repeat client and she picked out the beautiful Earl Burns Japanese Garden at CSULB for our session. I wanted to get this little peek before she set out on a business trip for the next couple of days.

Head on down for Sunday Jazz Brunch if you are in the Corona, Brea or Riverside areas. It’s honestly worth the drive. Oh, and call to make a reservation…

I am actually heading there today with a friend for lunch. You should be jealous.

Upon my arrival my camera decided to take a flying 3 foot leap right out of my bag on to the concrete below. Not really an ideal way to start a session. “Hi, I’m Amy it’s so nice to meet you…I just broke my camera.” Nice.  To all aspiring photogs: This is a perfect example of why you need a back up camera. The initial shock of my Nikon’s bloody LCD injuries wore off and we proceeded to have a great time. Their quirky pooches Fred [the little guy] and Chevy just added to the good times. You two you are incredibly cute and I can’t wait to present the rest of your gallery.
