It’s images like this that can not wait until Monday to be posted. I am so lucky to watch this family grow. I adore these kids….and their parents. We have gotten to the point where our session goes something like this. I show up….we hang out and things just sort of happen and they trust me to pull something off. Little 7 month old Mia was a wee bit cranky when I arrived so down for a nap she went. I can not wait to post more from this session. Nothing beats lovely real life moments that feel just like home.

I have a lot to say and share. It just seems to be season where I am building, planning, and doing what artists do. Creating. I don’t necessarily intend to captivate you with words but rather with real images of real people, doing real things.

First of all I just wanted to say how humbled Patty and I are with how well our last post if i could turn back time was received. It was shared and shared some more through lots of tears and an urgency to get those photo sessions of yours on the calendar. Thank you for all of your nice comments. Much thanks to her and the family for their willingness to share such a personal experience on the interwebs. xo

You may recognize the sweet, now famous, Fina puppy. Time to meet the rest of the gang. Patty, her husband, their 4 children, son in law and two sweet and spunky grand kids. We decided to keep it as casual as it gets, hang loose, let the kids play and they even bbq’d up an awesome lunch for us all! What can I say… I have the coolest most down to earth clients around.

Sweet little Mia has made it into this big world and is lucky enough to have an instant best friend. My little pal Ethan is officially a big brother and a very sweet one at that.

May has proven to be a very busy month and I am up to my eyeballs in editing so I am going to keep this short and sweet but thank you for looking and leave this family i love working with oh so much some love.

This little girlie is the sweetest baby girl I have ever come across. No joke. Don’t let these sleepy sweet shots fool you cause she gave all of us a run for our money. Wide awake, alert and not wanting to be disturbed, she was spunky at 8 days old. It didn’t stop me from wanting to take her home though. I have the feeling she takes after her mama. It’s always such a pleasure to work with T and her family. I shot the whole clan a few months back. You can see some of those photos HERE.

Congratulations Teresa, Phil and the whole clan. She’s perfect.

It’s been a while since I have posted a group of photos and I’ve been wanting to share a few shots that I loved from this family visit

Break it down. Starting things off with Cole’s first mug shot. He’s wrapped in the most amazing alpaca hand knit, softest thing in the world, blanket made by the happy glowing mama. Teeny tiny socks on even teenier toes, knitted with love by his auntie. A little man to man time and a shot I couldn’t resist sharing.

The dogs! While technically flawed in many ways I.just. love. it. Dad called the dogs up on the couch and mama plopped him down and said, “can we get one with the dogs?” Three snaps later the dogs were gone. It happened fast and it was fun….so I rolled with it. Let’s face it, I was just stoked that dad didn’t bring out a set of golf clubs or a hockey stick and ask if I could work something out.

I’m sure most grandmas would agree there is nothing more perfect than the super sweet view from Grandma’s perspective and a little Auntie love makes for a well rounded session full of love.

The road was long and now that this little miracle has arrived the whole family is over joyed that Cole made it into the world perfect as can be.
