Things just keep coming at me. The key word here is CHANGE. I am in love with my new dwelling and I still have yet to put my head around the view that I have and it’s hard to get back to work when it feels like you are at a bed and breakfast. We are finally getting settled into the new place. Will post a few photos soon.
Staus update: I venture out Wednesday morning up to San Fransisco to shoot a newborn. I am officially a traveling photographer. So just as a heads up… I will be out of the office with limited access to email and all that jazz until Jan 21st.
No, I won’t be in SF the whole time…. You see…I heard about this blog contest for a seat to StyleLab, (a workshop for wedding photographers) over at the Wedding Chicks blog site. Enter as many times as you like? It’s was ON! There were about 10 people that were not messing around. I was going.to.win. I could feel it. I was determined. I went nuts posting random facts of all kinds. Wedding facts, nutrition facts, state of CA facts, a bit of thanks and small talk with other competitors. I did manage to edit some photos in between. It’s the farthest extent I have even gone to win something. Let’s just say I probably would not speak a word of this if the outcome were different. HA! I am pretty sure we crashed the server around 9:30pm with just under 2000 comments. Or they cut us off. Either way I was relieved. I got off my computer feeling slightly crazy. Did I really just do that? Well, my time invested paid off. The winning number 1172. My new favorite number.
Weddings? Yes, I know I said I would never shoot weddings. Doing so was never in the initial game plan. Here’s proof of (excuse me while I eat my own words) that wise ole saying of never say never. Turns out I quite enjoy the challenge and honor of telling the story of “the big day” and doing my best at making it more memorable than they could ever imagine. With Style Lab and the Jessica Claire Workshop in February I guess you could say I am jumping in head first, much like Ashley in this shot I snapped while working with the wonderfulCourtney Allison back in September.
