Shryner the Weimaraner | Limited Edition Prints

As I sit here and type my favorite boy in the whole world is getting ready to go into surgery. He has had problems with his right rear leg for almost a year now and it just couldn’t be put off any longer. More than anything I just want him to be OK. Get through this so we can begin the healing process. A fabulous family and doggie client of mine  referred me to Dr. Sebestyen of Veterinary Surgical Specialists after her dog Mac went in for the same procedure on BOTH legs. Mac is happy and healthy again and I am so grateful for the referral as it is very important to me to have it done properly the first time. Unfortunately, we are marching to the tune of $4500! I have dog insurance and everything but this needed to be referred out so it was a no go on coverage. Figures.  Needless to say I am still hyperventilating over that one.

People often ask, How did you come up with his name?” If you know anything about Weimaraners you know that they are referred to as “gray ghosts” Well, Shrine by definition means “holy” So it seemed fitting to deem him the “holy gray ghost.”  His full AKC registered name is Shryner Izznot Boring. …..for obvious reasons and I just prefer the letter “y.”

He is the reason my camera skills are what they are today. Truly. He is my best pal and most favorite model and he literally knows when he is in the “sweet light” and stands for 5 sometimes 15 frames. He’s incredible. He has brought so much joy to friends, family and dog lovers all over the world. He’s pretty famous on Flickr even. He is gentle and kind and I often wonder how I got SO lucky.  Surely I deserve one of those crazy dogs that take turkeys out of the oven.  Shrynies worst trait is his stinky gas attacks!  He is such a GOOD boy!  If you have ever met him you know that he is one of a kind. I hope that he is up running, playing ball again and back to his normal self by the beginning on the new year.

If you would like to help support S Dog we would be so thankful. All proceeds go directly to covering the cost of Shryner’s surgery and if for some reason this blows up, all excess proceeds will be donated to a good cause canine in nature.  The goal – $4500.  Even half that would knock my socks off.

Donations of $30 or more will receive a limited edition 5×7 print of the big guy himself. Sure to put a smile on your face and bring some happy to your home or office. (Be sure to include a shipping address)
