Wow! What a year! It has flown by and is hands down the most rewarding year of my life. It’s also the hardest I have ever worked.
One year ago today I jumped off was thrown off the cliff into the world of being my own boss. Thrown into the clutches of my one true artistic love. I try not to think about it but I was one of the first to be effected by “the economy.” The dreaded, “we have to let you go.” speech. I was instantly determined. I had to make it work. It was time to get down to business and take every ounce of the photography, marketing, and people skills that I had developed over the years and turn it to gold. Not exactly an easy feat but here I am about 75 families later feeling so darn good. I realize success has a different meaning for everyone but, for the first time in my life, outside of graduating from CSUF, I feel like this adventure is a success. I feel so lucky to be doing what I am doing. My mom has always been skeptical of what can be done with an Art Degree. Hi mom!
I am so thankful for each and every one of my families that choose ME out of all of the options out there to capture them and thier loved ones. I know I have said this before but I honstely have you to thank and I even have the added bonus that many of you have become friends. Also, for all of the new mamas and papas for trusting me take your brand new precious babes out of their hands just days after their arrival to do what I do. Talk about rewarding! I am begininng to see more and more repeat business which is a good indicater that I am doing something right. 365 days later… I am still here and growing!!
Celebrate your independence responsibly and check back often after the holiday….I have a HUGE contest brewing.
Cheers to all of the service men and women risking thier lives every day to preserve our freedom. THANK YOU!
