Did you see that flying piggy? | Southern California Photographer

Rumor had it for quite some time that my parental units were considering a life changing purchase. They finally did it! They broke down and bought a computer. “What do we need a computer for? How can you not have one? They are not old, they are just old school.  For years both my parents would randomly bust out web addresses to things that struck their fancy. “Hey Amers have you heard of double you – double you- double you.(enter anything from bow hunting retreats, random dog treat companies, cruises, vizsla rescues, or anything that really struck their fancy).com.” I tease but I am proud of them. It’s a big deal.  The learning curve is interesting. No offense but oddly it is sort of like teaching a kid how to count change and tell time. You have to really think about it. It comes so naturally at this point that we are on auto pilot. The house = back to the beginning. Right and left clicks and dragging and dropping to setting clocks, screen savers and passwords. Yup. After they get it down they will wonder why on earth they waited so long. I have hooked my mom up to my blog via Google Reader so this should pop up right on her google page. Mom? Can you see me now?

So in honor of family adventures here is a bit of our family trip to Vegas a couple of weeks ago for Hayden’s hockey tournament. Haley and I mobbed around town and went on a photo walk. She did a great job handling the D300 with a little assistance and rocked the fisheye. We managed to have a great time under 21 style. A few of her shots are in the mix. The sister took the shots in the planes.

All in all it was a great trip. My sister’s kids went home with a huge bag of stuffed animals from Circus Circus. Hayden’s hockey team came in second place in the tournament. Not too shabby. A few of us won a bunch of money playing roulette all at the same time and it was pandemonium for a few moments and then lost most of it. It was a blast. #14 every single time.

I just realized that I forgot to include a shot and the deadline for THIS is very soon.
